Many of our businesses achieve levels of success that garners recognition from their peers. The Pontiac Chamber of Commerce Business Awards recognizes businesses and individuals for their special achievements and/or contributions to the community.

2017 Paint Your Career Job Fair

Paint your Career Job Fair

Your business / organization is invited to participate as an exhibitor at the event. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with potential job candidates and summer students, offer employment and training opportunities and network with other local employers. Booth spaces with tables and chairs are available at a cost of $50 including a guest speaker and a light breakfast. Lunch is available at a cost of $10 / person. Doors are open to exhibitors at 8:00am.

You are encouraged to complete and return the Booth Registration as well as the Employment Offer Registration forms attached as soon as possible since booth spaces are limited.

Early Bird Registration for the Spring Business and Leadership Conference

Spring Business and Leadership Conference

Hi Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce and BIA representatives,

I just wanted to send a long a quick reminder that the early bird registration deadline for Algonquin College's Spring Business Leadership Conference in Pembroke is March 31st. This conference is attended by business representatives from across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec and offers excellent value at a very reasonable price point. The early bird rate is $199 + HST. The rate will increase to $229 + HST as of April 1st.

Organizations that send three people to the conference also receive a bonus of a fourth registration free.

Based on registrations to date, we expect the conference will sell out.

The Chamber hosted its fifth Business Achievement Awards Gala on Friday, October 21 at the Jack Graham Community Centre in Bristol. In attendance were 138 business entrepreneurs and representatives from local organizations including government officials. Business Achievement Awards were presented in 10 categories.

Connecting SMEs – Support for creating online store

A note from Branchons les PME

Free coaching to create an online store. Thanks to a grant that our non-profit organization (NPO) Connecting SMEs received, we can assist entrepreneurs throughout Quebec to create an online store for your business. The project is related to free training to create an online store for Small & Medium Entreprises (SMEs). Our grant will provide 9 hours of training for entrepreneurs trainees specifically for the platform. The subsidy is provided only until the end of August.
